Running on consecutive days

Is it possible or ok to run two days on the trot? My routine is that I do an hour of zumba thurs, rest friday, run sat and sun and swim mon, rest tues and weds; this is the only way I can run twice a week however if I plan to do 5k then I leave two days rest inbetween! so my routine changes slightly around the swimming and zumba.

I think you will be okay! Give it a go and see how you do! Gayle

Pastyman has been doing 5k every day right through the 5x50 challenge (and making new personal bests repeatedly! amazing!) - it depends what you've already been doing and your overall fitness, so if you feel ready for it, you'll probably be fine.

Not recommended if you've only just started running, but ok with tough legs!

Looking back on the notes I made with each run I only really had heavy legs on a couple of days .... day 2 was one of them! Greenlegs is right, I've been amazed at the difference it has made. The other 5x50 folks are finding the same too ... you become accustomed to the regular exercise (whatever that may be) and others have found they are producing PBs even exercising every day .... really wasn't whay I was expecting at all!!
