Well done! I have been putting off W2R1 all morning. Just setting off now. Feeling more inspired after reading this! Glad it's working for you. Can't say I am enjoying things yet.

Beek I hope the run was good :-) I think that we will be doing this together because our schedule for runs are the same.

Hi Purbrookian. Just got back. Feeling good about it - first time feeling good! Those hot showers when you get back are fantastic!

Doing S&F W1 tomorrow but can't do C5K W2R2 until Sunday. I can say I am looking forward to it though so that's progress of sorts. Thank you for your posts. This site is a real help to spur me on!

im only on week1 run 1 but im finding it really hard, i understand things do get better, hopefully they will for me too.

in reply tojo_in_a_box

Jo it will ......... I found run 1 very hard and never thought my legs would get used to the heavy load bearing ....... but they do :-) stick at it and gently gently

It is not easy but it does get better. The best advice I was given is start slowly, don't rush into it. Keep coming back to this blog page because there is a tremendous amount of inspirational encouragement, tips and advice to draw on. The hardest part is over for you - making the first run! It does get better - promise!

well done Purbrookian.... I start my W2R1 tomorrow and am worried I wont cope with more running! Its good to know that the heavy legs start to disappear as the weeks progress. Keep up the good work!

The run walk pace is gentle for W2R1 - I thought it would be another shock horror like the first run - strangely my legs were more accepting of the challenge :-)

Yes it guess it is a shock at first but remember slowly at the beginning will pay off. You'll be doing week 2 before you know it!
