I like buds that clip around the ear. I have Sony ones at the minute that just have an extended hook that follows the wire that clips under the earlobe rather than going over the top of the ear. They have been very long wearing.

I've tried a few different types now and have found bud ear phones to be the best. Whatever you do don't buy anything from sportsdirect. Their range of earphones are terrible as I found out from experience.

I have funny sized ears I think, as no earphones would stay put. I bought stenheiser round the back of the head ones. I never need to adjust them mid run and the lead is shorter with an added optional extension so it doesn't flap in the wind so much. A clever design I'd recommend.

I have some chilli air bone ones that don't go in the ear, they are brilliant for running outside because you can still hear cars, birds and everything. They don't move about either.

I used these, which go round the back of your neck and don't fall out of your ear. There are a number of similar styles. Good sound too.

Sony-MDR-AS30G-Active-Series-Headphones. Tried to make this into a link but it wouldn't work. They're on Amazon.

I found I hated using my usual in ear noise reduction type ones (with the rubbery ends) as all I could hear was my breathing! I use the standard iPod white buds.

I have never found any ear buds that would stay in my ear even when stationary, let alone when moving about. I even bought some really expensive Bose ones, but they were just as useless as all the others I'd tried.

And then I got a Samsung S3, and tried the buds that came with it. Brilliant! They don't budge a tad, no matter how energetic I get!
