I've completed W7R1 today but would like to run R2 and R3 to my own music. What's the best method please.

Thanks

If you're using a smartphone, the clock may well have a timer option that you could simply set to let you know when your time's up.

Or compile a playlist of the right length - maybe two songs for a slightly long warm-up walk, then however many it takes to get to 25 mins, and anothe couple for cool-down. Just make sure you know which song is the cue to slow down and walk ;)

Playlist with the right length is a good option. My usual tactic, which works reasonably well, is to choose similar length songs so you get a rough idea of how long you've been running for up until a fixed amount that you're comfortable running with. I find it better to choose songs with a similar tempo though, there's nothing worse than getting 90% through your run and then having the music slowing down too much.

Thanks. I think that's my greatest worry ie picking tracks of similar tempo. Might be fun compiling a playlist though :)

There's a website (can't remember the name at the moment) where you can search for songs based on their beats per minute for running. I think it's jog.fm

If you know something that feels good to run to, presumably you can search for others with similar bpm.

(Though I prefer just running with a garmin watch without music.)

Not sure how I'd fare without music. Think I might get bored.
