chest pains

At the end of July, I go chest pains. They weren’t very severe, just uncomfortable and scary. The Doctor asked me a series of questions, did a couple of tests like blood pressure and told me there was nothing to worry about except I needed to lose weight and exercise and avoid stress.

The pains stopped after two days and everything was normal for a month.

Then they came back last week. This time

I didn’t bother to see the doctor and the pains again stopped after only two days.

Has anyone else had this experience?

Hi DONZOL,

Chest pain eh ? That sounds unpleasant and a bit concerning.

Can I ask what your lung diagnosis is ? Some lung conditions can have cardiac related events so worth getting fully checked out.

Have you had an ECG ? Blood tests ? I would go back and ask again.

Do you have support to lose weight ? Be more active and exercise ? #exerciseonprescription Help to become less stressed ?

Let us know how you get on won’t you ?

Go well,

Pauline

Thanks for your concern. I’ve booked an ECG and I’m focussed on losing weight and exercising to improve my general health and reduce my stress level which is very high.

Excellent. wish you well with the ECG.

There is a quiet sitting session provided by Breathworks on YouTube every Tuesday evening. It is a great resource and there are plenty of recordings to access there as well. I pass this on to you as it has helped me...

Could it be acid reflux/heartburn? I would definitely mention to your doctor's office that the pain has returned.

Thanks for the suggestion and advice but it’s definitely not heartburn. I suffer from heartburn from time to time but not recently.

When this happens with me its just heartburn. Never acted this way when I was younger but I have had all the tests done and all was fine but it still would happen now and then. Cannot pinpoint it down to any specific food but take some Tums/Rennies (?) or other type of acid reducer and see what happens.

I am very familiar with heartburn. Have had it on and off for years and take medication for it.

The chest pains I’m experiencing are a different type of pain.
