Has anyone out there had lung volume reduction surgery? If they have, what were the results? did they feel much better, feel the same or felt worse?

lung volume reduction surgery
Many doctors are now suggesting using Endobronchial valves instead of lung volume reduction surgery. The one was valves are implanted in the airways using a bronchoscope (meaning you aren't cut open). The one way valves allow the areas of the lung that are mostly affected simply close which leaves more space in the chest cavity for the "good" portions of your lungs to function more efficiently.
Just as with a true LVRS, certain criteria needs to be met.

thanks for your reply, John. But my lungs were already examined to use the one wave house and it was not possible due to leakage through different areas of the lobes. The cominologist told me it was like closing the front door and leaving the back door open. It wouldn’t work. My only option left. They told me was lung volume reduction surgery.
