Hi Libragirl I have been prescribed morphine but have never figured out when to use it. I seem to have so much going on it never seems the right time. I hope someone else can give you better advice. Barbs x

I read a bit about using opiates for Asthma, but never had it prescribed. Wouldn’t mind trying it, could use a little lift now and then lol…. Happy Easter.

Hi Libragirl - I have been on Morphine for over 2 years, 2.5 to 5ml every four hours and or if needed, Although I have COPD I take the morphine for neck and spine problems, although i have noted it does help breathing. As for "when I take it" - I take in on a need to have basis, normally 1-3 times a day, no fixed time, I myself take 2.5 ml (7mg) .... Unless your GP has said otherwise, take it when you need it but keep to the 4 hour spacings. Hope this helps.

I could use some help like that occasionally. I try to stay with natural meds but all my doctors will only give me ibuprofen and Tylenol.

I have trouble swallowing and choke easy. I'm in the Midwest of the U.S..

Sorry for very late reply. ibuprofen I am not allowed as they can cause bleeds and I am on blood thinners - Paracetamol ( Paracetamol) Tylenol.) are only good for mild pain. You are aware that both Paracetamol and ibuprofen can be taken at the same time as they are different drugs. I also have problems swallowing - it;s a nightmare with some foods. Midwest of the US sounds good, Kansas City come to mind, seen some great westerns set there,. Sorry can't be more help,

Thank you, yes I'm in KC and I just found out that ibuprofen causes heart attacks at , age 65 and older. I'm 77, a little late 😲 I do use medical marijuana in gummy form called indica a relaxer and it really helps me rest and sleep at night.

Whatever helps IMO is fine. I take morphine and it helps a lot with pain, I take Zopiclone at night, without I would not sleep. I never used ibuprofen as there are alternatives that are safer IMO - indica is not legal in UK unless prescribed. I hope weather is better for you in KC, it's cold here..Brr

I am prescribed morphine but I have only taken a drop twice. It does open up the airways!
