Please can anyone tell me why I get so severely out of breath my co2 levels are nearly always around 96 to 98 my fev is approx 23.5thanking everyone in advance duff

Hi Duff. I am not qualified to say why you are getting out of breath. Have you spoken to your GP about this? You mention your Fev1 which would suggest you have a diagnosis or might have had spirometry.

Fev1 is relative to your height and age. You can look up your predicted scores by googling, but all in all the best place to get a better understanding of your breathlessness is through a chat with your GP

I get more short of breath than normal when the humidity is up. But I agree with Troilus, call your doctor.

In 2016 I had the same problem. Sp02 was 96 but I felt I couldn't breath. It took 5 months to discover thru a bronchoscopy that I had Aspergillis. Doesn't mean that is what you have but worth a discussion with your doctor.
