Not very happy

The hospital suspended my immunotherapy treatment 9 weeks ago which I was having for stage 4 lung cancer.

I also have ipf and at the moment my breathing is very poor indeed.

Spoke to oncologist 2 weeks ago who told me I will have a scan in July and see her in August!

Respiratory nurse is not coming till the end of June.

I am in some pain at present, though only mild, but do find it worrying.

I know the hospital and nurses are very busy at present but I don’t really know what to do, just grin and bear it till August and hope for the best?

No point contacting gp he’s useless.

Sorry to be such a moaner, just wanted to get it off my chest.

Max

I'm sure if you contact your surgery again someone should be able to advise you. Have a good day and take care of yourself 😊 Bernadette xx xx 🌈

Very sorry to hear. Did they mention why? I understand some non-serious procedures being put on hold.....but not a treatment for cancer.

Hi John

They said treatments were being put on hold because there was Covid in the hospital and my treatment was being put back 3 months .

I just feel a bit in limbo .

Ahhh... Very frustrating, indeed. Evidently, your physician felt the risk from COVID-19 outweighed the benefits of coming in for treatment. Wishing you the best possivle outcome.

or maybe the consultants simply refuse to work there at the moment for their own safety, it happens a lot now, I know of several cases where apointments have been cancelled and replaced with telephone consultations or put off till the virus is over

Please keep us updated. I'm sure they will get you in when they feel it is safe to do so.
