I was prescribed lisinipril. I was wondering if anyone takes this and if it affects your breathing in a good or bad way.

Thanks for any replies

Hi Barbara; My husband takes it and it hasn't effected his breathing, in fact I think it may have helped him a little. BUT every person is different. Just know the side effects and if anything changes let your doctor know

I was on it for awhile. Google it. I coughed a lot. I am now on a different med and feel so much better.

I was told not to take this medicine, because it has too many side effects that can make you very 😷 sick. But as you know very one is different..

I have been on Lisinopril for at least 15 years. Have bloods checked every year. No problems. I have always had astma in Summer and dx copd a couple of months ago🐾

Very soon after I started taking it I starting coughing every night. I was getting out of breath when I walked which was rare for me. I am avery healthy person (except for bloood pressure). I just went to the doc and had a chest xray and they noticed changes in my lungs. I'm wondering if its due to Lisinopril. My coughing has since cleared up.

Hi, i was on lisinapril for about 7 years, it did give me a dry tickly cough but i learned to cope with it.

I got a virus in jan so when at the doctor's who was a new gp noticed the cough and said he would change my blood pressure med to get rid of it.

I started on a canderstan call Amitas i think, weakness and dizziness with that so changed again after 4 weeks to 5mg of Bisoprolol Fumarate, what a nightmare, i got all the side affects you can get, hr dropped it down to 1.25mg but no improvement so told to stop all together, now 2 weeks after still getting side affects but after reading on here it does get better day by day/week by week so just can't wait to get back to normal, just getting headaches now, got a appointment for a 24hr monitor in a weeks time to get a better idea what bp is but been doing it myself and it's not to bad without any bp meds apart from statins.

Frightened to death of trying another med after disaster taking Bisoprolol.
