Yes you can I was awarded both xx

Hi it's not the condition you have which they look at but how it affects you. It does sound like you need help so apply for PIP. As the forms are tricky and you have to meet certain criteria how you answer the questions is very important. Make sure you have as much medical evidence as possible ie letters from your doctors, consultants etc. and get help filling the forms in from either CAB or a local disability centre. There should be those in your area.

Oh and PIP is a stand alone benefit which doesn't usually affect any other benefits or anything so you can claim it whether you are working, on other benefits, or nothing at all. It is not means tested either. Have a look at the Govt.uk site as there is loads of info on there.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

As you may or may not know the helpful unemploymentmovement.com website has closed down :-(

Luckily there is a good replacement: respectfulbenefits.forumoti...

where you will be able to get advice on how to best deal with Jobcentre shenanigans, ESA / PIP applications, etc

Please also be aware of benefitsandwork.co.uk/ who also provide excellent benefits info and advice.
