Chest xray

Doct sent me to have xray cos of coughing results came back OPACITY LEFT BASE doct put me on antibiotics x said go for another xray in 2 weeks said prob infection but could be worse I'm worried now can anybody explain please

I believe it means there are some hazy areas in the lung which they are not sure of maybe a slight thickening or infection ,Im sure if they were worried they would investigate quickly so I woudnt worry to much I know that if you have had infections in the lung it can cause scarring xx

Many thanks for your reply I'm hoping that is the outcome as I've had a few exacerbations lately .

Sounds like your doctor is staying on top of the situation as he's ordered another xray in two weeks. Hopefully the antbiotics will kick in soon & nothing worse will happen. I know it's hard to not worry, but when I do, I find that it makes matters worse. I'll pray that you start feeling well soon. Terri
