I can barely touch my arms and I get blood bruises that won't go away and skin tears. Any suggestions?

Hi lanesf i have the same problem and my doc asked me about them. i would be interested to know the reason too. its been happening to me for the last 4 years, if anyone has an explanation it would be good to know. we cant be the only ones?

My husband has the same thing. He is a machinist and he comes home looking like he had a fight with the machine. Dr. said it was hemoglobin and not to worry about it. We moisturize an keep open ones covered, but they are always there. If you ever find out anything, please share.

Steroids can cause these they are called steroid bruises, I get them on my arm, looked it up on webmd, lots of the meds, inhalers too have steroids.

lanesf I complained to my dr about this same problem and he said it is my meds that I take for copd. Advair has a steroid in it and sometimes I have to take prednisone. I went into a store one day and the lady ask me if I had just gotten out of the hospital and I said no. Then she ask me if I had been in a car accident and I said no. She looked confused so I told her its my meds that causes me to bruise easily. I use cream and try to be very careful but the slightest bump can cause one of these awful bruises or tears of the skin. Its very unsightly and I will be glad when winter comes so we can go back to long sleeves. Essiet
