Lots of mucus in stool.

The mucus is out of control. It also appears to have some blood. I've been dealing with this for about 6 months and it is crazy now. I've had blood clots too. This was a few days ago. What would cause this craziness?

I was able to schedule a colonoscopy for the end of this month.

Thanks for posting with us. Yes, it can be a crazy thing that could be caused by many different things. You are definitely not alone with your experience. You are on the right path in getting a colonoscopy at the end of the month. That will go a long way to narrowing down the cause and perhaps pinpoint exactly the cause. Any time there is blood in the stool there needs to be an answer. I am proud of you for taking action and not ignoring things. You also got the colonoscopy appointment quickly, which tells me you have good doctors as well. There could be many things causing this and speculating can drive you up the wall.

Another thing to think about is if there are any hereditary medical issues within your family. This would be good information for your doctor and could lead to some further tests that could be beneficial to you and your family.
