Hi there,

I’ve been having horrible stomach pain on and off for months now. A year ago I had poop samples took by my Gp but never had any results. Today I was in pain trying to poo, I looked into the bowl and it’s full of blood, I’ve had blood on a tissue before but nothing like this! I’m slightly scared and not sure what I should do or what I should be looking for! Please some advice would be amazing thank you

Hi Femboy01,

Thank you for posting in Colon Cancer Connected. I'm sorry that these symptoms are causing you discomfort and pain.

You submitted samples to you GP and it's been over a year and still no feedback? I would definitely get a new GP. That is completely unacceptable.

You are having abdominal pain and bleeding. You need to find out the cause for this. There are many different reasons that can cause this, but you need to get examined by a medical professional. If possible, I wouldn't go to the same one as that one seems to be unreliable. Be sure to explain the current symptoms you are having and hopefully that will expedite the process. And please follow up to get your answers.

We wish you the very best. Please keep us informed of what you are experiencing in you interactions with the medical professional. Please get those answers.

Thank you ...

I wouldn’t start to worry now because it’s most probably haemoroids. But I would get a colonoscopy to put your mind at rest.
