Hello 👋 I have appointment coming up but my anxiety has been horrible. I bleed a little with every poop but lately has been more bleeding, even with painlesss soft stool. Sometimes it looks like clots. Been having soft stool/diarrhea. Always a lot of blood on toilet tissue. I have been feeling dizzy and crampy a lot and right after this poop I had like a runners side cramp. Been feeling fatigued and tired and cramps feel similar to diarrhea cramps but also burn kind of like an enema and does not stop, even after pooping. Not sure if I should go to er but don’t feel as of now it is a full emergency. My cousin is nurse and thinks I should be seen before my appointment in couple weeks. Please help. Could this be cancer? There was clots of blood on toilet tissue or just very thick, gloopy blood.
I need to add, I recently had colonoscopy that came back fine in October then had anal skin tag surgery in November. Everything was okay but the skin tag came back. Everything I’ve read said they don’t cause bleeding so I’m really confused. Doctor did biopsy of tag and said no cancer. So why am I having these issues?? I don’t think it’s surgery related bc was fine just a few weeks ago with barely any blood. I really feel like they missed something and feel like they will want to do another colonoscopy. Or what do they do from here? I’m really not feeling well. Dizzy when standing. I want to find my colonoscopy pics so I can share those bc they looked very abnormal to me but nobody even talked to me about the pics. There are lumps and bumps that the took pics of

Thank you for posting in Colon Cancer Connected. I'm sorry you are having these issues.
Having blood in a stool is a definite sign and needs to be checked. I'm with your nurse cousin. I wouldn't wait a couple of weeks. The fact you are feeling dizzy, crampy with a runners side cramp (know exactly what you're talking about) and fatigue should be checked out. Be right up front with your doctor about this.
Could this be cancer? I wouldn't jump right to that as there are many reasons for blood in stool. The focus and effort is finding out more information and the reason. It's the "not knowing" part that leads to speculation and anxiety. Be strong. Ask your questions. What concerns should you have surrounding the findings from these tests? Go get the answers.
You just had a colonoscopy in October that "came back fine" yet you said your "colonoscopy pics ... looked very abnormal to me but nobody even talked to me about the pics."
1. That's not good. You need to be clear about the colonoscopy results.
2. My first colonoscopy picks were explained very well to me and also put me on a path to deal with what I had going on.
3. One question comes to mind is what prompted you to get a colonoscopy in the first place? Obviously something triggered that to be done. You are young and getting a colonoscopy at a young age is not unusual. I'm glad you said it "came back fine." It's good information to know.
I wouldn't wait weeks to get this addressed. When you experience blood in the stool, the doctor will often perform a DRE (digital rectal exam) where they will both look and feel with their gloved fingers, to see if an any anal fissure (tears in the anus), hemorrhoids, or something else that could be causing the bleeding. Depending on the DRE results, any symptoms you are experiencing, family history, other factors, etc. your doctor will determine if further tests need to be performed.
We do wish you the very best in gathering more information about what's going on. Given what you are currently feeling, I would address it sooner rather than later. We are here to share our experience and offer our advice, but it should not replace speaking to your doctor.
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. Please keep us informed as this may be helpful information for others who may be experiencing similar issues. Be strong and get the answers so you'll be clear on what's going on.

Did you find out what the cause was with the bleeding?
Have they diagnosed you with any of the below.
Ulcerative colitis
IBS
Crones
SIBO
I am only pointing these gut issues out or any gut issues.
Because the majority of them start with a bad diet, to much coffee, to much sugar and ofcourse antibiotics. After taking antibiotics everyone that is reading this should always take a good probiotic or at least eat a very healthy diet of plenty of vegetables raw and cooked, protein (fish, lamb, beef make sure your protein comes from a clean source grass fed and free range eggs organic if you can find them) and stick to a low carb for a while and enjoy your healthy fats from avocado, extra virgin olive oil, macadamia nuts Brazil nuts walnuts hazelnuts so you can feed the good bacteria in your intestines because the antibiotics have definitely wiped so many of them out your system and the yeast and bad bacteria will have an upper hand to multiply very fast especially if you feed them sugar sugar sugar white bread, bread a high carb diet especially incorporating all the process foods out there that have tons of white processed sugar.
Always have a little think if you Ever taken antibiotics and your diet was unhealthy anytime in your life. Because most probably what had happened the yeast and bad bacteria has overgrown and that’s what’s causing the blood in the stool and all the cramps and the white layer on your tongue and fatigue low energy and going to the bathroom Multiple times in the day that comes down to all the diagnoses I had said above in this reply and yes ofcourse it might be something so you should get it checked out as soon as possible.
When the yeast in our body (intestines) over grow they change form and become pathogens. Those pathogens want to survive so they will damage the gut walls to find the main food source basically our blood stream and they will stay stuck on the gut wall and drill until they find the food source and stay there and grow (they love sugar that’s the source of food they live for) they become bigger and grow and spread and course so many different illnesses and even make you allergic to gluten to dairy to milk to all kinds of food and more. When they come out in your stools they look like blobs of blood and they look like weird looking sponge filled with blood. That’s one of the main reasons we see blood in our stools and sometimes we don’t see no blobs or sponges but they are there and they will start evacuating your body as soon as you stop eating an unhealthy diet sugar and so on for a period of time. Sometimes it take weeks months and some people that have it bad even a year or two. When it starts you will be feeling more alive more energy and like you use to feel when you where a kid.
Hope my reply helps in anyway. I am shearing this with you because I have experience the same looking blood in stools and blobs and sponges looking pathogens (yeast) and it has taken a while for me to get rid of them and the feeling at the end of tunnel feels absolutely satisfying and full of energy. So many people have gut issues and this is one of biggest courses and they run to the bathroom multiple times a day and can’t keep food in there body for the normal period that they should do they don’t really get enough nutrients from the food they eat. Please look more into this if you feel that this is the reason and if the Dr diagnose you with any of the above don’t take the anti-inflammatory medication because that will make it worse (it will be just a band-Aid and not solving the actual course and it will kill much more of the good bacteria that you have and the yeast and pathogens are resistant to it)
Do your research on Candida albican pathogens and make the decision that suits you and if you still have all your organs you can fight anything. Be strong and do the research.
