Cancer scared Waiting for hospital

A little history about me,50 year old guy, I have unintentionally lost 16kg in last 6 months, don't have any pain in my stomach just a slight lower back ache for last 3 months, and occasionally a shooting twinge like pain on my right side, bowel movements have been changing from being constipated to having diarrhea no changes to diet and not on any medication. Been feeling very fatigued and my get up and go has gone for the last few months. I put all the above things down to busy work and home life. Now I am always feeling full and appetite is non existent, then last weekend for 3 days I had blood in my poo sorry for graphic pic but this scared me. Been to see my GP and she examined me and said no obvious cause for the blood. They took blood samples and all come back as good she has referred me for colonoscopy and endoscopy. Had a telephone assessment from the hospital who have agreed and said I will be booked in asap and if nothing is found then they will sort out an MRI or CT scan. The wait and worry is horrific and I just wish I knew what was going on with me, my brain is telling it's cancer.

Off to the hospital tomorrow for a COVID test and collect my bowel prep and going in for a colonoscopy and endoscopy on Thursday, so things happening quite quickly but still nervous and scared of what they may find☹️

try not to worry and don't think about the worst scenario. cancer is rare remember it compared to other conditions that may have caused your symptoms ! good luck and wish you health.

Update.. had the tests this morning, colonoscopy came back as clear although a few pockets were discovered. The endoscopy showed that it was quite inflamed, no sign of ulcer, or anything recognisable as cancer although they did remove 8 biopsies for testing so have to wait on those results now, no sign of where the bleed was from though??
