Clear colonoscopy with no answer to bleeding and pains

I’m 26 and was having stomach pains mostly on the left and lower abdomen. I have blood and mucus in my stools and they are flat. I tested positive with the Fecal Occult Stool test but my colonoscopy came clear. The doctor didn’t say if I had hemorrhoids or anything and hasn’t referred me to the gastro. What could be wrong with me? Could it still be colon cancer?

I did not …he just told me it was clear. I have an appointment with him on Thursday so I will ask.

Yup probably follow n update back as I am quite curious on what causes ur blood and mucus in stool??

I am really sorry but whomever did your colonoscopy was not very informative or helpful. Blood in thenstoll is never normal. and is a big indicator that something is wrong. I would say make an appointment with a gastro yourself, if your insurance doesn't not cover a gastro without a referral then ask your primary for one asap or go to the emergency room. You can be suffering from Crohns, Ulcerative Colitis or some other kind of IBD. Did the doctor take any bipospes?

I had exactly the same had 2 colonoscopies 9 biopsies 5 polyps and a 25mm sessile polyp. The results came back last week proctitis, mucosa, IBS and severe diverticulitis the blood is mormal with proctitis and diverticulitis. There was no cancer and been booked in for a colonogram with air in a years time just to check all is still ok. Then if so another in 3 years time

No biopsies we’re taken …. I currently have greasy and foul smelling stools.
