I have had alternative constipation and diahorea recently and last 7 days had blood on toilet paper when I wipe. I started a couple of months past with burping and passing wind below. My GP sent me for a ct scan results were small kidney stone and small fatty lump pockets in my colon which could be poo or !!!! He had me back did thorough tummy exam and rectal exam and sent urgent referral for colonoscopy it's booked for Thursday very quick! I have no stomach pain but bum sore and pressure there. My letter from the hospital came 2 days ago and said my GP has referred me on 2 week pathway for suspected colorectol cancer! Is this just a general letter as I'm worried sick and at 77 years of age very scared I just dont feel myself at all😥

My husband has colon cancer and the doctor told us it starts as non cancerous polyps... so a colonoscopy can identify and remove any polyps before cancer takes root. Best wishes and don’t fret too much about seeing the “c” word. As mentioned above, the doctor may be using that to make sure you are treated promptly.
