Exactly 3 Months ago I was as active and healthy as could be, thought I was untouchable. Then one Saturday morning I’ve gone to the toilet and seen what I feel is a substantial amount of blood in the toilet and drips down the side of the bowl, no pain except for a tiny lower back tingling, I went a&e and was diagnosed with haemorrhoids and thought nothing of it.
Fast forward a week and I start getting pains up the sides of my back and stomach and my thighs were on fire, was then diagnosed with a UTI that was said to have gone up to my kidneys and given antibiotics. Finally thought we had found out the cause.
Nope, the pain started getting significantly worse, at this point, a dull ache in my stomach and back, I was given painkillers and suppositories but the suppositories caused me to bleed again (this is only the second time I’ve bled since the first time) and caused a crazy amount of pain in my stomach ( the lining from belly button to rib cage)
Fast forward to now and everything seems to be progressing, a constant dull ache and bloating in stomach that may flare into bad terrible pain, back pain up the sides, lower and in bewteeen shoulder blades which can be an ache or a burning sensation on my back, and the most worrisome now is constant aching underneath my armpits mostly my left.
Throughout this whole ordeal I have had and MRI of the spine, a ct scan of the abdomen, an x ray of the chest, a testicular exam and multiple stool tests all of which have come up negative, but the pain is progressing and this point I have given up because all my gp is doing is prescribing me tramadol and amitriptyline while I wait for a referral which is going to take forever as my tests have come up negative,
Also last thing to note while I am writing this my anus has a stabbing feeling when I clench and every stool i have now starts with pebbles and ends with mush just dropping out after with white bits in and what looks like bubbles in it. I have only pooed blood visible twice the first time and after a suppository.
Can anyone help because doctors are backing away because everything shows fine but I know deep down something is wrong. Thank you x

Thank you for sharing and I'm sorry to hear of your pain and symptoms - sounds really rough.
Are all of the tests that have been conducted under the care of your primary care doctor? I would advise that you seek a specialist. A Gastroenterologist can perform a colonoscopy and an endoscopy (the colonoscopy will give visibility for the entire colon, the upper endocoscopy from your throat to your stomach).
It is so important to not give up - if you know something is off in your body, keep advocating and seeking tests until you have answers. I am sure your anxiety is through the roof right now, trying to keep calm is important, but hard to do. Hopefully you can redirect the anxiety from the pain and symptoms into becoming your own health advocate and continuing to seek answers as you have been doing.
We're here for you and hope that you get some answers soon. Please keep us posted.
Yeah getting really rough now, I don’t know whether gp’s and doctors are just being told to fob off everyone with this coronavirus but my nobody even wants to mention a colonoscopy to me.
I’m wearing nappies because I cannot control my bladder, on Monday I mentioned liquidy stool running down my leg because I couldn’t control it and it’s just more and more tablets being given to me!
I understand the current climate at the moment and it’s going to take a little while to get help but looking at the way my pain has progressed over just a couple months is pretty much telling me if it is anything serious then by the time there is a chance to diagnose me, then it will already be too late, I have even emailed for a private colonoscopy 2 weeks ago and not even they’ve come back to me yet!
I'm so sorry for what you are going through, it sounds really rough. With the pandemic happening, routine screenings for cancers are way down, (86% below what they should be according to one study.).
We have so many members of this site that are experiencing symptoms and unable to get a colonoscopy - and it seems like it really depends on not only where you live but also the particular hospital or healthcare setting on if they will even put you on a list.
If you are able to go the private option, I do encourage that you continue to follow up and be the squeaky wheel. What you are experiencing it sounds like is taking a serious toll on you physically and mentally as well.
If you can tell me what country you are in I can give you the name/website of member organizations that may have further insight on how you can get seen.
We are thinking of you and hope you'll be able to get screened soon.
Stool test negative is already a good sign, it means the bleeding was probably temporary.
If you had anal tingling after pooping blood then good chances it was piles or anal fissures, if they cause pain, they usually cause it during or soon after a bowel movement.
Might be IBS or might be IBD, it's difficult to tell without being fully tested but it's usually these conditions (especially the first), C. is uncommon at your age, so don't even think about that.
