I have recently been having issues pooping. I figured it was just hemorrhoids. It’s very painful even when I apply the cream hurts intensely for about 5 minutes then I’m ok to get up. Now I am noticing blood in my stool. I still just hoping I pooped to much of strained and opened a hemorrhoid. There isn’t always blood only when I go to much or pass hard food. Today Iam extremely scared as when I wipped there was a little blood clot on toilet paper. I’m so scared I have 4 children I am only 31. Sorry In advance for the graphic picture.

If you get it when you strain it’s most likely hemorrhoids, but get it checked by your doctor. Any bleeding should be checked.

High likely to be hemorroids if you strained too much. Get checked by your doctor in case, they will be able to verify quickly with just a finger in your bum.

Hi Toolshedmolly,

Thanks for posting and I'm sorry for the blood that you are experiencing.

We definitely recommend that you get checked out. There are many possible reasons for the symptoms you are experiencing, many of which are chronic conditions. However, the only way to know for sure what is going on, and to rule out colorectal cancer, is to get checked out by a medical professional, most likely a specialist.

Anxiety can make your GI symptoms worse, so please reach out to your doctor to make an appointment and get some answers.

Again, there are a number of chronic conditions that could cause your bleeding and pain - but you'll need to see a doctor for them to determine what is going on. And if it is hemorrhoids, they should be able to provide some information on how to manage flare ups.

We're here for you - please keep us posted when you have an update. Or if you need encouragement to make that appointment - we're happy to nudge you to make that call!

I have the same exact problem and would also like an answer. There will be at least one drop every time. I have no pain when pooping so I don't think it's hemorrhoids or fissures. The amount of blood is concerning though- sometimes enough to make the toilet bowl light red.
