Dear all, my mother went for a liver ultrasound because her liver markers were up. ALT? ATL? I queried with the GP whether this could have been caused by statins. Anyway, she went today for the ultrasound and the person who did the ultrasound said "oh - the problem might be caused by the colon. you need a colonoscopy". Dr Google tells me that it is sometimes possible to see colonic tumours on a liver ultrasound. My mother doesn't know that. I am very anxious. Anyone have any views on this? GH
