Had colonoscopy

Hi all, I had colonoscopy on Tuesday, they found a 6mm polyp with a Pitt pattern IIIs which is normally indicative to cancer. Also I had normal mucosa. Waiting on results to say I'm worried is an understatement any advise of people who have been in my situation with similar results would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance Fiona.

Hi Fiona, They found a tumour when I had a colonoscopy 3 months ago. I had surgery to remove it together with 12 lymph nodes out of which 2 have been found to contain cancer cells. Diagnosed as stage 3 bowel cancer. I am undergoing 8 sessions of chemo over the next 6 months as a precaution to prevent cancer recurring. My surgery and recovery went remarkably well and my first chemo so far had minimal side effects which are manageable. Important to keep positive and take it as it comes. It's not so bad, stay strong and remember there are a lot of people in worst off situations. Cancer is no longer a death sentence if diagnosed early. All the best with your results.

Thank you for taking the time to ease my anxiety when you've been and still going through so much. I'm a positive person in general so I will take your advice and remain as positive as possible. Thank you again x
