My Oncologist informed me today that there will not be a 4th shot for me. 6 months after 3rd shot I will receive Monoclonal Antibodies by injection instead.
Anybody else out there getting the same?
So frustrating after 3 shots! 4.3 years W&W for me. Each shot elevated my white count. Gurrr!

Hi Hugo, I noticed on your profile that you were beginning chemo September of 2021. So I suspect the vaccine may not have worked well for you. It sounds like a very smart move to get mAbs prophetically. You are likely shortlisted for Evusheld, but given the increasing dominance of omicron, my hope is that you get Sotrovimab, since it's showing much higher efficacy against omicron. I know it's in very short supply in the US, but fingers crossed for you (and the rest of us). Yes, Evusheld is the only mAb approved for prophylactic use, but Sotrovimab really needs to be. I suspect it will be soon.
Is this the new standard of care or a one off decision by your doctor? I consulted with both dr lamanna and on another oncologist and they said to proceed with a fourth vaccine booster. Is a 4th booster the standard of care or is everyone getting different guidance?
Guidance I’ve received for my situation is keep taking future booster vaccine shots.
But… we are all unique with our medical situation and IMO it’s great to hear about options being advised by docs to those that vaccines are not effective. It’s dealing with the “insanity line” in a pro-active way. Hoping that option works for Hugo and others.
