Hi everyone! I got my antibody results back from my 3rd COVID vaccine and it says positive 1.6 and I was negative <0.4 first two times. Does 1.6 = a number of antibodies like (1600) ? Anyone know? 🙌 excited for any positive result!!

Results of 3rd COVID vaccine
It’s 1.6. Wish it were 1600 for you as I’ve followed your posts on vaccinations in quest of spike antibodies. That’s been a challenge for many CLLers. But … there are secondary defense antibodies (T n B cell generated) that can help us.
Just read today that a 4th vaccine shot is recommended by the CDC for immune compromised people.
Often wondered why instead of just a one-shot “booster” each time, why not recommend another 2-shot vaccine for immune compromised people? That idea was used by an organ surgeon back in April n it worked for him (it was in the news). I gave it a try and it worked for me. Maybe we were simply lucky?
On the other hand, the 3rd one-shot has worked for some on this forum.
Everyone is different n response to vaccines has varied for our group.
If you get a 4th shot, hoping it does very well for you! Take care.
Hello Pin57, do you have the information to share, or do you know where I can find the CDC statement on a 4th shot for immune compromised individuals?
I believe this is the URL that is the source of discussion on a fourth dose: cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/c...
Pin57, I found the CDC statement:
Moderately and severely immunocompromised people aged ≥18 years who completed an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine primary series and received an additional mRNA vaccine dose may receive a single COVID-19 booster dose (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, or Janssen) at least 6 months after completing their third mRNA vaccine dose. In such situations, people who are moderately and severely immunocompromised may receive a total of four COVID-19 vaccine doses. A person who is moderately or severely immunocompromised and has received two doses of an mRNA vaccine and ≥28 days has elapsed since the second dose, should receive an additional mRNA dose immediately (if Moderna COVID-19 vaccine is used, administer 100µg in 0.5ml), followed ≥6 months later by a single COVID-19 vaccine booster dose (if Moderna vaccine booster is used, administer 50µg in 0.25ml).
Moderately and severely immunocompromised people aged ≥18 years who received a single dose Janssen COVID-19 vaccine primary series should receive a single COVID-19 booster vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna or Janssen) at least 2 months (8 weeks) after receiving their initial Janssen primary dose. If the Moderna vaccine is used in this circumstance, the booster dose and dose volume should be used (50µg in 0.25ml). A patient’s clinical team is best positioned to determine the appropriate timing of vaccination. A person who received one primary dose of Janssen COVID-19 vaccine should not receive more than two COVID-19 vaccine doses as detailed in Appendix A.
Hi JLJC, it’s good news bad news, or actually bad news good news. The bad news is you did not have a robust response. The good news is at least you had something, and something is better than nothing. Continue safety precautions.
You did get a response and that is good news. That's much better then no response 😊
Can't answer, JLJC, because don't quite understand the figures. I just got my quantitative results yesterday, and don't understand what number would represent a fairly decent immunity. My level yesterday was 11,746.1 AU/mL. Can anyone fill me in on what is the level we want (in AU/ml whatever that is)? if this is good enough to feel safe? Thanks, fellow travelers!
I had 3 Moderna vaccinations. The last 2.5 months ago. I had a negative antibody test last week. So no antibodies after 3 shots. 😕
Not advocating for a fourth vaccine. But, would not be surprised if one more shot would really boost your antibodies up. Might be something to discuss with your doctor.
