How are you feeling?

I am asked quite often on how I am feeling. My answer ' don't really know'. So used to the unexplained now. Waiting to have more minor skin cancer surgery today. Eye and back surgery next month. I did take off three days last month for prostate and bladder surgery at MD ANDERSON, then just wore diapers and blood bag for a while. Nasal sergury prob November. Third phizer next week. Can't remember what else. Still grateful and reasonably happy.

Isutigers, would "besieged" fit how you are feeling? You are dealing with so much and seeming to be fairly calm about it all.

May you have the best of outcomes for each of the surgeries you are facing.

Keeping you in mind as I go about dealing with ONLY CLL in the early stage of a treatment that is going well so far.

I would suggest ‘overwhelmed and exhausted’ might fit the bill? As you said cllady01 I am grateful that CLL is, for now, the only thing I have.Best wishes.

Lately my answer is "I'm sick". Seems to help avoid any unwanted advice or cute encouragement. No one knows how sick I am except me. People say "you look great" NOT!!!

I look like hell. I guess my mask hides it, but I feel I look 10 years older all of a sudden. People seem to back down if you say I am sick. I need that right now. Many people in my life are threatening me with possible covid exposure, they just don't understand. I have sent them the good explantions from Patient Power, if they take the time to actually read them, maybe things will improve. In the meantime I am locking my door so they can't just walk in "Oh I forgot my mask!" ARGH. I think I will add overwhelmed and exhausted, per Peggy4's suggestion.

If I was going through all those things I'd be under the bed wailing from self-pity. If anything you've got much bigger B's than I do. To say I feel like crap would be an understatement from my side. Congratulations to crawling along with that level of determination and endurance. Few can appreciate it unless they have to do it. Best regards and praying that your condition improves noticeably.
