6/3/21 - Serum alkaline phosphatase = 188. Ref: (30.0 - 130.0]) - GP Surgery
So it would appear that my Serum alkaline phosphatase result has always been elevated, but more so on the last blood test. Note that the last blood test was performed by a different lab and has a different reference range.
I have a good understanding of my routine blood counts (HB, Platelets, Lymphs, etc), but never had to overly concern myself over some of the chemistry numbers.
I have been on Co-codamol for some painful joints (on Ibrutinib as well which causes pain in joints).
So is a result of 188 significant, does it signify anything specific? (yet to get an appointment to discuss results).
BTW, I do not drink and have a fairly healthy diet.
Thanks

Robert, the following link might be helpful for you to discern causes and possibilities for an elevated ALP. The full explanation for your specific situation though, will of course be any further information your Dr. has in regard to your specific situation. The chemical tests include more items that, given the level of them, can be part of the problem, but if you only have the ALP showing a change, this link might help you to begin to be able to change something.
There is both liver and bone changes that can be causes. So, I hope this is a help for you to begin exploring what might be relevant to you.
