Nausea with Ibrutinib

Hi to all of you, so pleased I was able to find this forum.

I started Ibrutinib, 3 capsules a day, on Tuesday, now Thursday. So far the only side effect I have experienced is nausea and heartburn. I know from reading here that heartburn can be quite common. Anyone else experience nausea? I have been drinking Ginger tea, do not want to take meds in hopes that this passes quickly, and I do not want to spend my days being sleepy.

Thanks in advance

Intermittent nausea on & off throughout the week.

Zofran helps.

Thanks, will definitely try the Zofran if the nausea persists.

Yes the first few weeks are the worst, the drug attacks the CLL, and there is a lot of rubbish for the kidneys to get rid of. Make sure you drink alot of water - more than 3 pints a day

I really appreciate this. I will be sure to have my water bottle close by all the time. I did notice cold fluids seem to help more than warm.
