Nausea with venetoclax

I am doing V+O. Just started the venetoclax ramp up. I am taking the venetoclax at night with food but experiencing at lot of nausea with the venetoclax. Has anybody had this nausea and what did you do about it?

I had chemo and they gave me Zofran (Ondansetron) sublingual 8 mg. Melted immediately under my tongue and worked well. 🙏💕💊

Other people have had success changing the type of food, or amount of food, before taking it. I find if I eat oatmeal an hour before, then a rice cake before & after the pills, I don't have problems. Along with a good 8-12 ounces of water, But I am taking it in the morning, not evening. Are you lying down after taking them? That can cause problems.

Hello. I really feel for you... so just sending a (gentle) hug.My husband had dreadful nausea and vomiting each month for about three days each month when he was having FCR. It was pretty rubbish, but doable. You will get through it.

If you can stomach it, I believe ginger (a biscuit) can help.

The only thing he could eat in those days was chicken supernoodles ( I think they are horrible at the best of times😂but they were the one thing he could manage.

He has had about 6 years free of treatment since then, so try to look ahead.

I’m sure you’ll start to feel better soon.
