CLL and related skin conditions

I am 73 and have had CLL for the last six years. I had FCR treatment some 5 years ago and more recently a milder form of FCR to keep the CLL at bay.

One of the apparent side effects from the CLL has been an increase in Keratosis and Squamus Cell Carcinoma which have been treated with liquid nitrogen and minor surgery. My Dermatologist recently attended a medical conference in Vienna where this very subject was discussed. A possible treatment for these skin conditions was presented by an Austrian Professor this being very small doses of Acitretin Neotigason where he had good results.

Has anyone had experience of this treatment for these skin conditions allied to CLL

I’d never heard of this oral medicine but this link describes its use. I think I’d be concerned about the high incidence of very dry eye syndrome with it and suspect it’s something that would require very careful monitoring by a skilled dermatologist. I’m wary of additional meds during treatment and would probably prefer a topical treatment but it’s an interesting development. Best wishes with keeping these skin issues at bay plett.
