hi everyone , I really wanted to ask for some advice regarding my blood test results .
I honestly don’t understand them . Also was not offered any statins , just healthy eating advice . Could I possilble show my results on here for advice please as I also suffer with anxiety . I am 52 yrs old and menopausal which doesn’t help . Would really appreciate someone looking at my results to explain more to me .
thank you in Advance

badically I had bloods done in Jan this year and my levels were high so they wanted repeats 3 months later . So just got them done again and was told to change my diet and exercise more . I am slim no history of heart disease .
BMI is great and weight .
Bp is fine
Liver is fine
So it’s all confusing .
Sugars are fine …
Only thing I was thinking was I found menopause a cause for sudden changes plus I have suffered with severe anxiety over last 2 yrs Also I know I have eaten a lot of naughty foods and ice cream .
No statins offered just to exercise more and eat better
I was confused too as I have a good diet. I just found out that I have hight unsepress8ble cortisol and this can affect cholesterol levels Anxiety is a symptom of high cortisol.
You haven't specified how high your numbers are, but your description of yourself and your diet suggest you may have, like me, familial hypercholesterolemia over which you have very little control. I'm on a low dose of statin but am also 'dieting' with a sensible approach to eating and have added a large dose of exercise and movement. I also drink lots of water as dehydration can make things worse. This isn't a diagnosis but might be well worth asking your GP to check for this condition which is genetic and is basically due to a faulty gene. Looking at your family history may give you a clue...early heart attacks in direct relatives is a sign. I only found out after my brother had a heart attack at 54, which luckily he survived, but sadly other male relatives all died between 52 and 56 of heart attacks. As a result of the tests on my brother, we were able to discover my son, sister, and nephews have the same condition. There's lots of resources out there which can help inform you
