I would love to hear how everyone is doing this holiday season!

What do you like most about this time of year? What do you like least?

Are you looking forward to anything special next year?

🎉

Hi younique, personally I am doing well and looking forward to Christmas. It's a break from work, I like the lights and decorations to cheer us from the grey winter days, and all the yummy delights we eat at this time of the year. Why on earth mincepies are not available all year round I cannot fathom 😋😀 I look forward to a return to some form of normality next year as the pandemic eases off. It's been a wild year.

DolaChangingFacesUK haha I just thought the same about all the deliciousness that's served on thanksgiving. But I don't know if it would be as amazing without the holiday cheer lol, because it makes everything so much better. Mmm. Yes the lights and decorations brighten the season and create such a festive mood! It will be a nice close to a very tumultuous year. Hoping we will soon have adjusted to the changes that the pandemic caused and that we will recover. 🙏

Hello!I have very mixed feelings about Christmas, as I won’t be able to see all of my children/grandchildren. However, I too, am enjoying seeing all of the lights & tress around the streets, which seem to have been displayed earlier than usual this year. It definitely helps to lift my mood & one of my favourite pastimes during lockdown (and now Tier 3 restrictions), is to take a walk at night to admire the displays.

I hope that 2021 will be a more optimistic time and can’t wait to book holidays again😉😀

That sounds so heavenly PB58 I hadn't even thought to walk around admiring the decorations in the still of the night. And I agree I have also noticed that they've been put up earlier this year. It's my favorite time of year so i don't mind. Does your family live far from you? Do you have a big family? It's wonderful to be surrounded by love when they come to visit that's for sure. It does make it hard not being together during the holidays since that's what makes them so special. My family and I have done quite a few video chats and it's not the same but it is nice to see them nonetheless.

Also where is your favorite place to travel? Do you do it often?

My family are scattered over the Uk, with the nearest daughter being about half an hour away. There are 13 of us all together so we can’t all meet in Christmas bubbles, sadly😔Like you, we’ve spent many hours on Zoom, FaceTime, Skype, Messenger & House party since lock down began!

Thank heavens for the internet, eh?!

I just love travelling, with my favourite destination being New Zealand so far. I still have lots more travelling to do when I’m allowed again😉😀

Seriously! I don't know how we could have possibly adapted without the internet. One good thing is that employers are now hiring remotely, which is a huge opportunity for more diversity in business. I'm curious to see what life will look like in the coming years.

So nice you have such a large family! I'm sure it's hard not being able to hug them, especially your grandchildren. 🤗

New Zealand! Awesome. What did you love most about it? I've always been intrigued, but have never visited.

Hi younique! I am very much looking forward to Christmas because I'm hoping it will give us a bit of a break from all the craziness that's happened this year! My favourite thing about this time of year is getting all cosy with a hot chocolate and a Christmas film. Sadly, all of my conditions seem to worsen in winter so I usually don't feel too good but there's always that festive cheer to bring a smile to my face! Next year is my 18th birthday so I'm looking forward to celebrating with all of my friends and family. Hopefully by November the lockdown restrictions will have eased enough for a party!🥳

Yes I agree AlwaysSmiling! Those are good things to love. I remember coming in from the cold and having homemade hot chocolate with marshmallows waiting for me - some of my favorite memories. Have already started up the Christmas movies! And Christmas music! Lol. The classics are my favorite, what about you? 18, what a great age! It will be nice next year to be able to (hopefully) celebrate in-person with friends and family for sure. 🙌

I started early with Christmas this year. The tree has been up since late November and I've been watching Christmas films and listening to Christmas songs since then too. The classics are my favourite as well!🎄😊Yeah, hopefully I can celebrate in person. Hope you're well❤
