Never alone

On the 10th of September every year organisations and communities around the world come together to raise awareness of how we can create a world where fewer people die by suicide. It is marked as World Suicide Prevention Day.

Here at Changing Faces, we recognise that sometimes people affected by visible difference may experience very difficult feelings or may feel suicidal. If you are feeling anxious, depressed or suicidal, don't struggle by yourself. Reach out for help, because someone cares. samaritans.org can offer support if you’re in a crisis. You can also speak to your GP, go to your local Accident & Emergency department or call 999 for an ambulance.

Although Changing Faces is not a crisis service, we offer services and resources (changingfaces.org.uk/advice... to help you cope with your emotions as a result of having a visible difference or your experiences due to this. As well as self-help materials (changingfaces.org.uk/advice..., we also offer telephone support and ongoing counselling support sessions (changingfaces.org.uk/advice.... Contact our Support and Information Line via the webform at changingfaces.org.uk/advice... or call 0300 012 0275 to find out more.
