just recovering from fractured pelvis following fall on ice in Jan. now been told have osteoporosis following dexa and pain in shoulders and arms started suddenly about 8 weeks ago. Been diagnosed as PMR. Am 75 female and really disabled by pain in arms and shoulders so that washing dressing etc hurts so much and getting out of bed involves rolling onto floor. Started on 15 mg prednisone for 2 weeks now increased to 20mg. Very depressed and lost so much weight over last 4 months now below 7st. Have Dieticians’s input. Been started on iron as anaemia. Really want to know will I ever start to feel better and be able to get into my garden again. How long does it take for Prednisone start to help and is this dose enough?
