for the past 2 years my Gamma Gt has been slowly rising started at 55 (before starting a 10mg of Atorvastatin ) then 78 and then 7 weeks ago dropped to 68.
I have just had another blood test and since my blood test 7 weeks ago it’s dropped to ALT 42 and gamma gt 44
But total bilirubin is 28 when it was 23 before.
My Doctor doesn’t seem to concerned but because the 10mg of Atorvastatin for high cholesterol isn’t bringing my LDL level down enough he now asking me to take Ezetimbe but l am concerned as my liver enzymes are still above the normal range.

They are only very slightly raised…and I suspect the GP is looking at things in the round. This is something to discuss with them though and talk through your concerns. I never take things at face value and like to talk through with my doctors my clinical care. I’ve found they are always happy to engage in a conversation. My consultant particularly encourages discussion…his view is that it’s my body and for the vast majority of the time I’m in charge of my clinical care…so it’s better that I’m fully conversant with the do’s and the don’ts and on board with my treatment so that I remain well.
Those numbers are pretty much normal as far as I know. I would not worry about them. You look to be in good shape. Good luck! (Note that I am not a doctor or medical pro, so feel free to ignore me!).
Ezetimbe is processed through the stomach and not the liver. I'm allergic to statins so I am on Ezetime, which has my cholesterol under control. I take it at night.
