Hi can ibuprofen raise gamma gt levels ? I was advised to take to take ibuprofen and did for 7-8 days, I went to hospital for blood test and gamma gt was 217. I do drink but I didn’t think I drank a lot maybe a couple glasses of wine a night ? Maybe miss a night etc. I haven’t drank for a week prior to the blood test as I’ve been taken ibuprofen.
The other level she gave me was 42 and wasn’t very high, I don’t remember which it was alt maybe ! She said it could be ibuprofen so told me to stop taking it.
To mention with my daughter I had Cholestasis but she’s almost 6 now. I had my son after hes 3 and nothing’s been brought up about liver levels when I had blood test then. Doctor has said usually they’d do a repeat bloods in 3 months but because I had Cholestasis she will put me through to have a scan. I have extreme health anxiety and I’m paranoid I have liver cancer or severe cancer somewhere. I haven’t eaten since I’ve found out as I’m so scared, barely slept. Please anyone help

Also, you shouldn't drink alcohol whilst you are taking them as that could exacerbate that impact.
Usual protocol would be to do another test after you stop taking them . That could be anything from a few weeks to a few months later depending on your gp's preferences.
Hi. Thanks, yeah she’s told me to stop taking them Incase it’s those and she’s sending me for ultrasound. If that’s all clear will they just do follow up bloods?
