Hi everyone - I had my yearly fibroscan today and never really thought much about my results as they are generally good. It was 4.7kpa and 129 cap. The nurse was lovely and said this was the lowest she's ever seen the cap. Anyone else? I did try to decipher Google 🙈 and it looks like I'm not even on the range. Thanks
Fibroscan low cap : Hi everyone - I had... - British Liver Trust
Fibroscan low cap
Why are you having yearly fibroscans?Doing that is almost unheard of.
Hi. I will support Roy's question. Do you have any risk factors for liver diseases?
my kpa is 13.9 but I have aih with cirrhosis my cap 192 so not a fatty liver
Thanks for your response and sharing your results. Having rarely used the NHS before, these groups are great as the nurse said to me yesterday, your Dr should be explaining these results to you! Luckily we gather the readings are good. So many misnomers among very intelligent people that see "hepatitis" and automatically think drugs - even these modern days.
That’s great news. I have regular fibroscans for AIH too. It’s reassuring - sounds like we should count ourselves lucky 😊
Yup... although I lived with it unwittingly for +40 years and was too ill to register the implications when diagnosed. I was pricked and prodded like never before when originally diagnosed as obviously there was no reference for me. I have to say the specialists are pretty good vs the GP. Take care
