just updating from last post, had a fibroscan at work ( it was a mobile unit) Kpa was 15.8! Cap 188, had bloods done liver function normal including ALT. AST, GP still won’t allow blood for viral or autoimmune until I see him on the 13th, was lucky to get a private USS via work, booked for the 18th. But I’m absolutely terrified, I’m playing it down to family and friends. But I’m scared. I’m trying not to worry until I know what I’m dealing with, but Dr Google is not helping

Hello, Sorry to hear about your worries. Google definately won't help - theres a lot of false and inaccurate info out there too. Best to use respected and trusted sites such as NHS or British Liver Trust. Ringing the helpline would probably really benefit you too. (They're darlings who look after that line❤️)

Do you have any symptoms/family liver diseases' history? As I assume your fibroscan was done as a screening test? Anyway alone high fibroscan result is not enough to make any diagnosis. Of course it cannot be also ignored which is not your case. Good luck and stay positive.

My nan had non alcoholic liver disease but other than that nothing, all my bloods including LFT’s and platelets were normal and my FIB 4 score was low 🤷🏼‍♀️ just have to wait for the USS I guess

I see so there is a possibility that your fibroscan result is false positive. It happens. But of course you have to rule out some more serious issues which maybe you are not aware of.

If your a bit chubby and work used the normal fibroscan probe it might give a false result.

No I’m slim, I weigh 54 kg 🤷🏼‍♀️

slight update and all my viral and autoimmune results back, and clotting, all normal, so just waiting for uss on Monday now
