First off - no fibrosis showing on fibroscan is great news, I think we've previously heard that you have had all normal blood test results but it is just the ALT which is out of range. I think you've also previously said that you are overweight which can certainly be a contributory factor to fatty liver disease and good news is if that is the definite diagnosis it has probably been caught early enough for you to turn things round and help your liver to recover.
Fatty liver is reversible and if as the fibroscan says you have no fibrosis then you have got it early enough so when you do make the necessary lifestyle changes you should be able to repair your liver and look after it from here on in.
The British Liver Trust has a page and leaflet dedicated to NAFLD at britishlivertrust.org.uk/li... which it would be worth you looking at for advice on going forward. Looking after your liver from now on, eating more healthily, taking exercise, reducing any alcohol intake, reducing processed foods and unhealthy sugars and fats from your diet then hopefully the ALT (inflammation marker) will come down.
Are they still investigating the possibility of AIH or has that now been ruled out?
Wish you all the very best going forward, take the steps to look after your liver and fingers crossed a long and happy life is coming your way.

Thank you! Very informative
No, unfortunately AIH is not rolled out yet, I'll have autoantibodies test soon by NHS
What if I still have AIH? What's the prognosis in this case?
You have no fibrosis so even if you have AIH you haven't yet suffered any damage due to it. AIH is treatable with (initially) steroids which would reduce any ongoing inflammation and then immune suppressant medication which stops your immune system from attacking the liver. AIH can not be cured but it can be successfully suppressed when caught early enough and in your case with no fibrosis that would appear to be the case.
There are ladies on the AIH support group page on facebook who've been living next to normal lives for 20+ years after diagnosis with AIH. So don't panic about it, your fibroscan result is great and whatever is going on with your liver whether it be fatty liver disease or AIH or even both it has been caught early enough and can be successfully treated.
Loads of love to you, take care of yourself - tackle the fatty liver first and see what comes of investigations into the AIH later.

You're very lucky. Have a good diet and fatty liver will clear up. My scan was 75kpa and showed chronic cirrhosis.
This scan is good news overall. Yes there is some fat, but its not that bad, mine was 233CAP and S1, the Liver doctor wasn't concerned at all since I had just given up drinking. Your ALT issue could be the fat starting to irritate the Liver, so the plan ahead would be to minimise fats and sugars from your diet and get some exercise.
The 4kpa is F0, so your Liver isn't damaged at the moment.
Most importantly, what are your doctors saying?
My Nhs doctor wouldn't even send me for an ultrasound yet. She ordered a bunch of tests though to be done in 1 months time. Fibroscan was my initiative. I hope my ALT elevated due to fatty liver and nothing else like autoimmune. I have my next app with GP in Jan. Other tests are OK though, including AST and bilirubin, gamma Gt and ALP
