Well smooth liver is happy this morning, but brain is looking covetously at the Bramley Apple pies and dreaming of sausages and bacon. Having been convinced by liver it isnβt a good idea at the moment has started to explore when it may be possible to dive into a luscious fried egg with all the trimmings. Stomach has joined in on this pursuit but heart is looking dubious. Cholesterol and salt scare the life out of him but brain tells him to shut up and go back to beating his drum again. Deeply exploring diet charts, brain concludes that 5 a day and the bottom of a rabbit hutch (Alpen) are order of the day for a bit....sadly stomach agrees, but go in pursuit of a calendar and pen and start working out a date when a full english may be possible. Equipped with a pen and calendar they write down a lot of questions for bodyβs next hospital appointment to check the date theyβve come up with is ok for smooth liver but ignore hearts protestations. Iβll stop beating this drum one day he exclaims, and brain tells him that just like getting a new smooth liver has been possible they also do very shiny new hearts! So he shuts up, feeling aggrieved, but recognising that heβs part of a team and will go along with the others.
I think you covered it all... hahahaha, you are nuts woman but never change. Laughter is all part of the medication π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π
When I was diagnosed type 2 diabetes, I got rid of my frying pan and threw all my eggs away. Then when I was on an education course for diabetes, they said, eggs are okay and to dry fry them is perfect. So, my first "fried" egg after 11 months was heaven. I use that 1% spray and just give it 1 squirt and have egg on toast, lovely. All the protein and none of the oil.
The only thing I really miss is marmalade. But I did buy some blood oranges last week and they were sweet and sharp, so a very acceptable substitute.
I'll have a go at the eggs buddy, I do, do poached eggs but it's a little too much messing and cleaning first thing. A Saturday, Sunday jobi mi thinks! π
You probably already know that post transplant you are not supposed to have soft or runny eggs and some types of oranges are not recommendedπ
Have had the chat with the dietitian (last week) my results are fine to eat most things (I have a list of what I can't) and she discharged me from her care. She knows me well and knows I don't lie (I have no reason) I tell her everything and she tells me off a little bit, informs me what not to eat and how much. Happy....
Danny, I don't care what you say, I'm betting that apple pie box is empty! π It's open and you see it every time you are eating healthy. It's like a constant reminder, psssh Danny over here. You don't want that Alpen or toast, you want some pie. Just warm us up and enjoy. LOL
Moving on from the delightful breakfast menues I thought you could have a change from your snoopy t shirt to this one sweetheart.
Jeez Louise that's awesome π. Loving it sweet π
It looks extremely healthy, I'm plodding on with the Gluten free Granola and seeds reminds me of the bottom of my daughter's bunny hutch π€£π€£π€£, I'm going all out with a drizzle of honey and two spoonfuls of fat free yoghurt , with that calorie intake I don't have to move for half a day to burn calories. I'll be light as a fairy before I know it π§π§, I know they irritate you π€£ xxx
Only when you cover my posts with them and I'm trying to act all hard (Manley, before all the jokes come in, Dave π).I hope you meant to look at the bottom of the bunny hutch and not remind you of the taste haha π€£.
That does sound nice to be honest T. I saw somewhere that if you crush pistachio nuts into vanilla ice cream it's not so bad for a treat. X
I hasten to add it isn't mine, I bought for someone sweetheart. X
Danny when you start getting out more ( not saying you need to π€£π€£π€£π€£) the perfect t shirt for you is this!

Yeah, never thought of that other than medical matters I haven't been out for two years, that explains my silliness sweetheart. π€π€π€π€
I have to be so careful but how can I stay in I have to go to the hospital where indeed I'm still smiling talking to the pre transplant team (brilliant people) and the post transplant team(brilliant people) . Smiling and being serious at the same time π. I can see their smile's through the masks. Your going to have to get out Mysterio before you go insane. You should meet up with me n Dave..... when we finally decided a date....I will definitely get you smiling ππ― x
