Before I go to the Doc

I have been to the Dr to complain of pins and needles in my arms and fingers but he didn't really listen and checked my strength and said it was a trapped nerve in my neck. My symptoms were first what prompted me to go to the Dr in January before my Nafld diagnoses. Vibration feeling inside my whole body, muscles feel like they are twitching in legs, back and arms, horrible sensation in fingers and toes to the point now I am using a stylus on smart screens, typing becomes painful. I was wondering if any of you knowledgable people think this could be something to do with liver or as dr said trapped nerve or should I go back to see him?

Hello,

The symptoms you describe could have many different causes. It would certainly be a good idea to go back to your doctor and discuss your symptpms again as they are obviously severely impacting on your day to day activities. Perhaps your doctor may consider other tests to establish the cause of the problem or refer you to a specialist.

regards

These symptoms may be related to a number of different problems. You may simply be defficient in some vitamins and/or minerals e.g. magnesium. If I were you, I would push a GP for more tests, starting with a comprehensive blood test. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply x I will go back and push for further testing

I think you have mentioned in the past that you are diabetic, I assume this is well controlled either by diet or medication. Diabetes can, in some cases, lead to some of the symptoms you describe but it is sensible not to make assumptions about the cause. Please talk to your doctor so that they can explore all the possible reasons for your problem.

regards

Hi Jojochr, i would go back to your Doctors if I was you ,because nobody on here is Medically minded.

There is something that l can tell you though, because i also have the symptoms that you have described.

I have Chronic Fibromyalgia ,but it's very hard to find out if you have it or not.🤔 I was referred.to a Neurologist and was in hospital for 6 weeks before they

found out what I had. The Doctors have to rule out everything else before they can give you a diagnosis.

Im not saying that is what you have, just that some of the symptoms you have are the same thing that I have. 😥

Go back to your G.P and tell him everything thats going on with you.

Ask him if he would refer you to a Specialist. Good Luck.

Hope they can help you out. 🤞😊

Thanks, I'm going in on monday to get nerve tests and vit b12 test. Will see what he has to say about it. I did wonder about fibromyalgia. I had a 3 year period about 17 years ago when I was ill and in pain couldn't work, eventually after lots of tests told ME or fibromyalgia. It cleared up when I got pregnant. Never fully went away but I got back to work and could exercise again. I am worried it could be that again. I think because I have been diagnosed via a blood test to have fibrosis from NAFLD, I need to see a specialist to get a clearer picture of my stage and how my symptoms relate to it all.

How long have you had it? It is a truly debilitating disease 😥

I was diagnosed with it 9 years ago.

But I think that I had it a few years before that. I even had ALL of my teeth taken out. The Dentist thought that it was all to do with the nerves in my teeth, he advised me to have them all taken out But i think that it was to do with the Fibro.

I'd never even heard of Fibromyalgia, not until the Neurologist told me that I had it. I've never had pain like the pain that Fibromyalgia causes.

It can affect every organ in your body.

It's such a horrible,agonising Disease.

Hope you haven't got it. But the symptoms that you have,i also have along with some other symptoms.

Take Care and Stay Safe. 👍🤗

So eventually have had my response for the Dr, he did an elf test which showed 9.12 and means I am in the early stages of fibrosis. He did say that the weird sensations are not to do with the liver however the Dr thinks I have had covid and it is possibly related to that! More tests to follow. Thanks again everyone x
