Hi guys, thanks for you messages, and concerns. Sorry for lack of posts. Quick update. I'm getting on OK. My new liver is functioning wonderfully๐คฉ, but my pain and issues with my haemoglobin have meant energy and strength are not the best.
I've had two blood transfusions, and I'm currently getting some IV fluids due to tummy issues (sure you all want to know that!), although that has meant I'm getting up and down a lot by getting up for the loo every 5 mins!! ๐ฒ๐.
They are planning on moving me to Derriford (Plymouth) tomorrow, transport has been booked, once the various authorities agreed who had to pay for it ๐ค๐
Thank you once again for your kindness, and care.
Big hugs x x

That's good news on your new liver, not so good on the other issues but then these sort of things are often up and down a bit after transplant.
Hope your regular bathroom trips settle soon, sounds like you are getting more exercise than planned for early days but you are doing well to be able to get to the bathroom, I had a couple of sessions when I didn't even make getting one leg out of the bed
I'm sure that's more information than you needed to know
Great that they are taking you nearer home tomorrow it will make that final discharge so much easier for you and Joe.
Hope that the pain is sorted soon for you and everyday is another big step forward.
Thanks for update - some great news and some not so good stuff. As freddy says thatโs unfortunately the way it is. ๐.
Have you been sick yet before they realised I might be a good idea for you to have a sick bowl! Happens - well to me! No-one complains though - at least not openly! ๐.
Continuing goodish health Elisa, ๐ค๐ค for you!
Miles
Hi Elisa
Its lovely to read your good news and that you'll soon to be on the road to a bed closer to home which will be much better for Joe travel and time wise too
Hopefully your loo trips will become lesser over the forthcoming days giving you that rest time you must desire so desperately ๐
Hopefully Miles's comment re sick bowl won't be necessary as I'm presuming we all know what's that's like whilst travelling ! Unfortunately I must have broken a world record for being sick due to anesthetic's and various meds so I'm sending you lots of ๐๐ for a comfortable transfer with lots of Trishy warm comfy hugs for your arrival
It's great to hear from you. I am so happy that your new engine is working well, and I hope the other issues can be sorted very soon. ๐๐๐, you just need a bit of fine tuning๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
I'm glad your being moved to a hospital near to you.......one stage nearer to being home๐๐๐.
I was wondering how you where doing and then your post popped up !!!
I am really glad to hear things are going in the right direction and it's a big plus that they are transferring you nearer to home. Keep strong. x
Great news Wassy! Very impressive getting to the loo on time. Do you have a loo each or is it a bit of a sharp elbows/clean drawers affair? ๐ I wish you smooth journey to Plymouth and then home where you can really rest and be well. I hope the gum is healed too... ๐ xxx
Hi
So nice to hear from you and that your recovery bis going well apart from the toilet trips, let's hope your tummy settled soon. I'm so pleased you are being moved to a hospital near home. This will be better for Joe and also a short journey when you do go home. Onwards and upwards. Sending lots of healing hugs your way ๐ค๐ค๐ค๐๐๐ love and hugs Lynne xxxx

No, I haven't watched it yet, probably watch it during the night!! I can imagine Wassy as being one, she is so caring as is everyone else on here. Love and hugs to you all Lynne xxxx
Great to hear you are actually able to take the time to let us all know how you are getting on wass..hopefully you will get over all these small hiccups and be home soon ๐
So pleased for you honey. It must be difficult to take it all in. One step at a time. I'm sure you're being very well cared for. Warmest wishes for a comfortable transfer ๐๐ค
Wow, I am so pleased to hear your great news. Sega Sega now, (slowly slowly) try not to rush things. You will be fine. Lower your early expectations, it all takes time, slowly you will feel well again. It is a big thing this...
I for one could not be happier right now. Your first steps on your rebirth, so, like a new baby, take it easy. Drink lots of water and know each day is an improvement. I am so very happy for you Wass. Rest these early days, you will need all your strength for trips to the hospital later. How exciting for you, and terrifying, all at once. Know in your heart and soul, you can do this, as many before you have, you are on the brink of a healthy happy life. It will come, just sega sega.
So much love and congratulations, I send to you this day. Have a safe trip back to your more local hospital. Love Jaycee
Hey wassy, so pleased for you. Itโs amazing how busy you can be in hospital isnโt it!! As Jaycee said, drink loads..... but that does have its down side, although you seem to have found that already!!
Keep up your spirits, and slow and steady with the recovery. Loads of people are wishing you well!!
Dear Wass, I am thinking of you and send you strength. Hold on!
It is getting better and one day in near future you will feel great again.
Love.
Fantastic news, things will get better and better. Getting to a hospital nearer to home is great news getting home for me was a nightmare. Its a hassle sorted early.
My thoughts are with you on the you road to you new life
Hi so happy ur doing well. Bet u can't wait 2 be going nearer home. Remember baby steps it does take time 2 get ur strength back it's early days yet. Take care x
Hi - lovely to read such great news. Itโs rough the few days post TP but you sound to be doing great. Good news that you are being transferred to Derriford. I found it much more restful and better food than London and really appreciated being moved.
Currently Iโm frequently at Derriford so if you fancy a chat PM me when you feel up to visitors.
Hi peeps, I did a massive reply on here 3 days ago, but it obviously didn't work. Sorry to seem rude!!
Just an update, I am now finally in Plymouth, problems with the politics of ambulance transfer meant that I ended up in Ldn for an extra 3 nights. The journey was horrid, almost 6 hours, but we made it!! Ambulance men were really lovely.
Anyway, big improvements everyday, still in a lot of pain. Etc but so far the biggest miracle is that I have not once been itchy anywhere, totally itch free since the moment I was compus mentus, I realised I felt no itch!!! Such sweet relief!!
When I had last meeting with Professor, at discharge, he said, BTW your liver was awful, he said even he was surprised how bad it looked, and that the TP really was just in time. I said, yes I know I've seen it, got images sorted via TP coordinators by day 5 I think. He looked at me like I was a bit nutty. But I said I really needed to see it, I suppose in my mind I wanted to make sure I really needed the TP.??
Thank you once again for all your fabulous support and kindness.
That's great news Elisa๐๐๐. I'm sure they will give you meds to help with the pain. Onwards and upwards for you now, but don't overdo anything until you are ready. Good news about the itching as well๐, it drives me mad sometimes.
