Well I went to my local hospital at 8.30 this morning and met Rachael a specialist liver nurse. She showed me the patency capsule and said what did I think? Well I thought it looked more like a pessary than a tablet but said I'd give it a try....no problem😳 I have to go back tomorrow to see if Elvis has left the building or if he's lurking somewhere in my small bowel. 😂 if everything is okay we'll go for the real capsule next week. I asked her if many people have got the capsule stuck in the bowel and she said I was only the third patient who'd needed it. The first man couldn't swollow it (wimp) and the other was fine. I feel that things are beginning to find out what has caused my cirrhosis at long last.
Every Monday we do a pub quiz with some friends and we usually do quite well. If you win the first round of questions you get a round of drinks for your team. Although I rarely drink I would sometimes have a rhubarb gin which was delicious and came with lots of soft fruit in it. This week we won and I asked for a slimline tonic that was pretending to have gin in it. It came in a lovely big glass with preserved orange and juniper berries in it. It was lovely 🍸🍹

Not sure which to hope for - Elvis having left the building or Elvis sitting around having a peanut butter and banana sandwich. So I'll send wishes for whichever will be best for you!
