The doctor wants My LDL cholesterol to be lower and has put me on a statin drug. He will test my liver enzymes after 30 days. Have any of you with PBC experienced elevated liver enzymes from statins?

You have a reason to question this medication regiment. I would consult your physician or get a second opinion. It's important to get your cholesterol down. However, there is also a clear correlation of statins being hard on the liver. livertox.nih.gov/Statins.htm

I was on Statins but they were suspended when I was hospitalised with Alc Hep, so obviously there are implications for the liver.

What is Alc Hep? Are you doing better? If you aren’t on statins, Are you controlling your Cholesterol with diet?
