My Alkaline phosphatase level is higb. Also I have several vitamin deficiencys. I keep.getting skin outbreaks that they call a rash. However I am given very strong antibiotics that are used for staff infections. I have had MRSA 1 time 3 or 4 years ago that a culture was done for. I am also colonized with MRSA. I have had continued heakth and skin issues every since getting MRSA. Also it was a acid cleaner used at work that rained down on me ultimately resulting in a MRSA staff infection. So skin issues constant. Prescriptions for very strong antibiotics that reek havoc on my system and known for causeing or contributing to liver damage have been prescribed more times than I can count. They never bother to do a culture since 1st one and the diagnosis is always MRSA. Is getting skin/staff/MRSA infections common with liver damage? Is Anemia, vitamin D and B12 common with liver damage? I have High blood pressure now and taking a pill for it. I have mouth ulcers and my teeth are going bad from extremely dry mouth. I can't handle the heat at all. I sweat from head and drips down. My sweat stings my skin especially where I have sores. And blood test showed high Alkaline phosphatase level. I also have back pain that is lower to upper middle location, kinda like a hard bear hug. Please how much of my symptms could be related to liver damage? Thank you to any of you that are willing to answer. I have to be very proactive even a bit demanding to get a health professional to look beyound the symptoms. The pic below are what sores look like.

Hi Have you been diagnosed definitely with liver damage?

If so what is the cause?

The reason I ask Is that there is a particular liver disease that can cause a very nasty skin problem. As well as liver and lungs

Hello ,

Welcome to the forum where you will be able to get advice and support from others with experience of liver disease. However, this is not a medical forum and none of the members are qualified to diagnose or give specific medical advice.

Users are advised to NOT post test results, scans or photos and request an interpretation from other members. This is clearly stated in the guidelines to both this forum and Health unlocked. Test results vary according to both the individual’s whole health and the specific laboratory / medical team analysing the results. To avoid misinterpretation and undue concerns, results can only properly be understood by a qualified medical practitioner with full knowledge of your unique medical history and circumstances.

Please don’t be discouraged from using the forum as there are members with a great deal of understanding and knowledge of living with liver disease as a patient or carer. They will be able to give you the benefit of that experience with understanding and empathy that can only come from those with first hand involvement.

On the British Liver Trust website you will find a great deal of information about liver disease / health from trusted sources.

You sound in so much pain. I really do feel for you. I can’t answer any of your questions as not a medical professional. Are you being seen by your GP or are you under a hepatologist. If I were you I would go back to them show them these questions that you want answers to and see what they say. I wish the best of luck and hope you start to feel better soon xx

Sorry, for your pain but to answer your questions, b12 can be causes of anemic but it would depend if you actually have liver disease. If you have liver disease sometimes your spleen is enlarged and cause your platelets/RBC to trap and you become anemic, Sometimes,if you have liver disease you can become anemic if your bone marrow isn't performing like it should and that would cause you to be anemic. There are many reasons that cause lack of RBC but you didn't say if you actually been diagnosed with anything and what is the cause.
