Hi all I’m sorry to put this on my post , I normally only post good news but I hope you don’t mind, I lost my dog of 16 years last week, but I will stay as Dogbot.🐶It was a Staffordshire bull terrier a fantastic dog with children especially when I took her to the children’s home I worked for. I would put her on the bed for one of the children him being a quadriplegic with no speach and somehow he would squeeze her with his right arm.
Thank for reading this 💕💕
Stay safe All
For ever Dogbot

So sorry to hear about your fur baby. They are such wonderful companions who love you unconditionally. Give yourself time to grieve and heal. It will be okay.
Really sorry to hear about the loss of your best furry friend. I dread the day we loose our wee cat as she has been a permanent fixture by hubbies side throughout his illness (turning up and adopting us a couple of weeks after hubbies first hospital admission in 2012). She has at times been the only thing that's pulled him out of low spells .............. she's lying on his lap as I type whilst he's snoozing (as is the norm these days).
Your best pal is running free now over the rainbow bridge - she's done her bit in getting you on the road to recovery and would want you to go on living your best life.
I'm so, so sorry . Animals have an amazing way of contributing to your wellbeing and mental health. I was diagnosed with decompensated ALRLD (cirrhosis) last year- bloods/USS much improved but I still struggle with fatigue and pain. We're finally adopting cats after 20 years of debate... one healthy, her brother a sick-note like me 😊
She will always know what love was like with you and you with her ❤️.
So sorry dogbot .. I know how much our beloved pets are all part of our family through the years Losing a pet is still a very sad 😔 and upsetting time , I still have my oldest cat with me ,she's 14 yrs old this may, been with me from the very start really of my cirrhosis journey and moved home so many times.. I try not to think of the day when I loose her ..
Stay strong and remember the loving fun times you had together
aw am so sorry I feel your pain, I lost my 16 year old 2022 and 7 weeks later I lost my 13 year old, not a day in 2 year has passed without me crying 🐕🌈❤️
So now they would want you to be strong and fit and keep going with your walks, the wife and I have joined the national trust and decided that she would have liked the walk’s ,,it’s our way of remembering the good times. Keep up the good work it’s worth it I’m now sober 20 years and feel better for it. Good luck with your journey 👍💕💕.
Dogbot, we just lost our fur baby of 7.5 years 2 weeks ago. His name was Harry and he was a cavalier King Charles spaniel. We are completely heart broken and devastated. We have no children and so he was our wee boy. For me it feels like my heart has been ripped out of my chest and it’s like our source of happiness has just been extinguished. I know it will take time but everywhere we look we see him, and we are constantly thinking of him. The last few days we’ve been seeing 2 cavalier King Charles at a time…one time we actually saw 3 pairs in one day….and that has NEVER happened….we think this is a sign that Harry is trying to tell us something….maybe we’re being silly. But anyway I just wanted to pass on my sincere condolences as after 16 years I can only imagine how heart broken you must feel but like a lot of the comments here, we get you….and I wish you and your family all the best. Xx
So sorry. Dogs are only loaned to us for a short time to show us what unconditional love really is. They live in the moment, which is something we humans would benefit from doing a bit more. All those moments with you will have added up to a whole life time of love and joy.
I quite understand your loss. When our first dog passed away, my husband made a special coffin for her and she was buried in our garden with her favourite toys. She was a Jack Russell and extremely mischievous but much loved. Her age, like your dear friend, was 16. She is still remembered and will never be forgotten.
I'm so sorry you've lost your fur baby. She was obviously a very special girl. And my name, Kyia, is the name of the Staffie we lost after I joined the group.
so sorry to hear that dogbot. My two 16 year old sheltie/cocker spaniel mixes passed 3 years ago about the same time as my wife passed from endstage liver failure. Having no children, they brought us so much joy. Real characters😊hang in there my friend!
So sorry to read this, your dog was lucky to have such a fab owner. Your comments are always so supportive of others, I hope you have comfort from all the replies on here. Take care
This is a 'bruise on a bruise'. It must seem that the only creature to comfort you is the very one you are mourning. Of course, the children will, in the absence of their doggy friend need to be told. In the comforting of them, you will be comforting and giving strength to yourself. They, too have their sorrows, and be perceptive and empathic enough, enough to want to help you in whatever way they find. your doggy friend was their friend, too A smile, look, gesture, or word, one to another will and can heal and the void you feel, filled with so many memories is also balm to the loss you are surely feeling I hope you all find joy in the Spring all around you. I wish you great strength and all that is good in this world Jon x
I'm so sorry for your loss. My 1year old puppy died unexpectedly 4 weeks ago and I have a huge puppy shaped hole in my heart too xx you are in my prayers
I’m so sorry to read this. Our pets are like one of the family. My cat has been a big part in my recovery. Making sure I was around for him was a big motivation when I first stopped drinking and was the start of a much better life. I hope you’re ok.
Thank you so much, yes they are very much par of the family. My wife surprised me one day when she brought my poppy to the hospital to cheer me up, it so good for me 💕💕
I am so sorry for you, animals in my experience are often more wonderful than people especially when the chips are down they never judge, ask or care what type of day you had they just give unconditional love and they are always there for you. She will be forever huge paw prints imprinted on your heart. Take care x
Sorry to hear Dogbot. We had to put our dog to sleep on Monday and I took it a lot harder than I thought I would. Animals are wonderful, more than many humans these days. They are here to love you no matter what and not judge. RIP to your furry friend and until we see them again.
Sorry to hear you’re loss , yes I took it very hard but we can’t let them suffer. It’s a tough decision to make but it’s kinder because they mean so much to us. 💕🐶
