Hello Martin,

Sorry you don't seem to have had much help on this one.

I've just read your previous post. You gave a reasonable amount of information in that one and had some excellent replies.

I was wondering what type of clinic you are going to this time. Are you seeing a hepatolagist, that is a specialist in the liver, gallbladder, pancreas and the biliary system, instead of a gastroenterologist. With your history its likely that it will or should be a hepatolagist.

As to what to expect. I doubt if it will be much different to the other appointments. S/he will gather all the information available from all the tests you've had so far. There will then be a review of the results and you will be asked how you are in relation to your original symptoms.

I would then expect you to be presented with an action plan. What happens next, more tests perhaps or just another appointment in a few months.

Without knowing all of your symptom and results in detail, its impossible for anybody here to give you much more than that.

Its important that you have as much information as possible before your next appointment, then you will be better prepared and know what questions you want answered. Never think a question is going to sound silly. If its important to you, then don't be afraid to ask. For a lot of people in your position a very fruitful place to visit is the British Liver Trust website. There you can find information / advice on pretty much everything regarding liver disease / health.

In the meantime, try to not worry too much, keep yourself active and make sure you eat well with plenty of fluids. Keep us informed of how the appointment went.

Jim
