Hi

Hope you are all as well as can be expected!! I have been to hospital today. This consultant said my liver will be ongoing, he said my nerves were cut when I had an op 5 years ago!!! He is changing meds and having pain killing injection. He said it isn't actually curable but they can help with pain xxxx

Thank you. I know I won't ever be pain free but at least if it can be eased it will help! How are you feeling today? Take care Lynne

Hi Lynne, oh my that's got to be devastating, hopefully they will find a way to stop the pain. Have you tried a TENS unit at all? That helped me with a back injury, and muscular aches. What did the doc say about trying it?

in reply toBootandall

Hi

Thank you. Dr suggested it but I've already tried that, thank you. How are you feeling tonight? Take care Lynne

I figured you had when you mentioned implanting electrodes, will this still be an option? I hope they can do something! Take care x

in reply toBootandall

Thank you. The consultant said electrodes won't work for me!! It's just change of meds and the pain killing injection. He said it's not curable but might be able to give you 50% improvement. How are you feeling tonight? Take care Lynne

50 percent is huge! Of course, all pain is subjective. I am praying that you don't have any tonight.

in reply toBootandall

It's always there. I might just manage to drop off but then I'm woken after an hour in pain and that's it for the rest of the night!! The consultant did say 50%is what we can hope for but can't guarantee it!! Fingers crossed!! Take care Lynne

That sounds like a step in the right direction at least - it's great to have answers even if it doesn't cure the pain xx

Thank you. Take care Lynne

Removing chronic pain is pretty impossible but at least now it should be reduced to a more manageable level. 5/10 is way better tan 11/10 for sure. So hope it makes a difference for you and glad it isnt your intestines - not at all pleasant Hazelxx

in reply toRadnor

Thank you so much. I've got enough conditions without this adding to it!! How are you feeling tonight? Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

I have my ARFI scan tomorrow. Not concerned about the procedure just hope I get up in time lol. No way I can just jump up and get moving, fibro stops that as you probably know. Scar tissue can be painful, Our bodies dont like being cut up, My scar is healed but a couple of areas are mega sore still. I dont know how you have managed so long without pain relief. Hope it makes it easier xx

in reply toRadnor

Hi

Good luck with your scan tomorrow. Please let us know how it goes? Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
