Hi all, Ive just had my 6 month blood test result after starting the Harvoni and Ribo treatment on 01/04/15. Yeeaaaahhhhh it's gone for good. Yeeaaaaahhh. Just a tad happy to say the least. Good news to all Hep C geno type 3 peoples out there it can be cured.
Good news: Hi all, Ive just had my... - British Liver Trust
Good news
Well done and congratulations! x
Brilliant news Dizzi!! I think congrat's is in order.Well done and i'm so pleased to hear this.Great news for people with type 3.I wish you all the best for the future. You have made my day. Take Care!!! xxx
I am really excited for you Dizzi. You must be so relieved, because I know you had your doubt's about 3.I hope your dreams and wishes come true for the future. So go ahead and kick some butt.Take care and I'll let you know what the god's have in store for me. Xxx
Great news dizzieme...hoping to get treated next year with Harvoni..seems although I have cirrhosis and low platelets I'm not sick enough to be treated right now..cured at last dizzieme now your life has just started well done! Xx
Thank you Ballie52, I hope you get your treatment soon, it is madness that you have to get so ill before you can have it. really doesnt seem logical to me but then again when did logic ever enter politics etc. Keep strong and keep asking for it, have you had a fibro scan done yet I had heard (ears dropping in the clinic) that if it is over 11 you can qualify fo the treatment. Now dont quote me on that but it is worth asking. Good luck for your future, keep strong and positive and most of all keep smiling.
No dizzieme I had a biopsy that showed cirrhosis stage 4 fibrosis. .I was told early cirrhosis but do have low platelets and frequent nose bleeds and brusing cramps and elevated liver function tests..I am on the list but apparently you have to meet certain criteria like bilarubin elevated and clotting factors plus kidney function not 100% to qualify for treatment even if you have cirrhosis. .I think they are treating these people first..just hate for things having to get worse before I get my turn...anyway I suppose I have to wait just like everyone else ..but great news dizzieme. .you will start to get much more energy and prevent any damage to your new liver..life now will be so much better knowing that horrible virus is gone. XX
That's pure dead brilliant dizzime. How long were u on t' Harvoni?
I have geno 3 and 12 weeks didn't work.
But that is great news we may not have won the war but we seem to be winning some battles
Hi--on for the 12 weeks and it had gone after 4. I was told it could come back at the 6 month test but so glad it didn't. Had yours gone at all while on the treatment?. I was informed if it hadn't gone I would go back on for another 12 weeks. have you gone back on the treatment?. I really hope it works next time for you. I have to have another blood test in December just to check but I have been informed it shouldn't show again. It is all new to the consultants as well so they can't be 100% about it but here's hoping. Keep positive Boab11 it will all be right soon. fingers crossed for you x
Hi yes I did aprently clear the virus, after 4weeks at least to below detectable limits and remained "virus free" until a month after treatment ended. But it came back, or rather it never actually went away. I understand that the standard test is not very sensitive. I have written at length about my experience with treatment in other posts
Once again wonderful news get out there and enjoy life😀😀😀😀😈
cheers, i hope you can get more treatment soon and you do manage to get rid of it for good, stay positive. x
It must be a great relief.
This is fantastic news!!! Harvoni is definitely the 'cure' . I am so happy for you dizzime! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Wonderful new ! Hope you continue to say well.

I wish you all the best for the future...

Hello Hun,
Last of the 7 drains came out yesterday. Things are looking positive... Just trying to get his med levels right for BP and clotting. He is so sad and fed up - now his transplant friend has come back into hospital re a blood clot so is so worried about getting one again...
Just feels so never ending Hun...

Hi Pear-it looks like he is getting there, i'm sure they will get his BP and clotting sorted out. I have to take the asprin everyday to make sure i dont get and blood clots, trouble is i'm always getting bruises now as I forget them I have to be carefull and I am out in the garden doing things i should't. It keeps me happy though doing normal things. So glad his drains are out they are not nice i felt like I hade been assimiltated to Borg status after I had my op (you have to like star treck to understand that one-sorry) but it felt like i had been attached to a machine, so glad when they went. He will be up and about soon i, am sur the physios have been round by now getting him up walking. Thinking of you and hubby a lot and sending lots and lots of positive thoughts. Keep strong and stay happy--good luck love Ruth. xxx
Hello again,
You are right he has been up and about - has been overdoing it a bit as now has a slight leak from the wound... Hopefully they will do a ct scan to check all new grafts are working well...
You always give me so much support Hun - wishing you all the happiness in the world.
