My doctor reception call me today to say I had to get my bloods redone in 4weeks time and to stay of achol for 4 weeks why would this be

Excessive alcohol consumption damages the liver. Blood tests and ct or similar would probably confirm this. One further point,if you require a liver transplant then you would be unlikely to receive one if you continued drinking. Best of good fortune.

I would think you Liver enzymes could be raised, this indicates some liver damage, dont panic every drink does this, if you stop then the enzymes should return to normal and liver can have a breather and repair.
